February's Book

For February I read

Meh. 

It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the greatest. I liked the play a lot more. It just took long to get to something interesting, which is kind of sad since it is a pretty short book. The details of it were also just too wordy or redundant. For example, "Her red lips were even more red. Her dark hair was even more dark.." etc. and yes, this is text from the book. 

Valentine's and Taxes

Brandon was able to have Valentine's Day off this year. We decided to just stay at home and have a nice meal because in Cedar City there aren't really a lot of nice places to eat and the nice places were probably super busy.

We had chicken cordon bleu and for dessert we had a chocolate cake with raspberries. I was really proud of this because I made it from scratch, no cake mix at all! I took a picture of the cake because I was so proud of it:

Even though it isn't the prettiest looking thing, but it was delicious! 

This week we also got our tax return. It was a pretty good sized return (Yay for getting married and not making enough so we don't have to pay taxes!) and we decided to spend a little bit of it to buy something I have always wanted and then put the rest of it into savings.

I know it might be lame but I have always wanted a rocking recliner and this new furniture store just opened and they were having a sale. So we got a recliner for a really good price. It is so comfortable!

Nine Months

Yesterday was Brandon's and my nine month anniversary, which Stephanie pointed out last night that if I got knocked up on our wedding night then we would be having a baby soon.

Even though we do want to have kids someday, I am glad that it is not happening anytime soon.

Married life is good and we are quite happy. We are looking to our one year anniversary since we are going to be going to Disneyland :). I haven't been in almost 5 years and Brandon has never been. He is probably excited than I am he has already asked if he can get Mickey Mouse ears to wear around the park.

Well that is all going on right now. I just thought I would do an update because I am bored.
